In this article, screenshots will follow the example of an employee record context. All steps outlined below will be relevant for your context.
Viewing and editing document properties with Filer
Navigate to the SharePoint site where Filer is installed at your organisation.
Search for the record you are looking for using search, bookmarks, views or briefcases.
From the list of files in a particular record, select the file that you would like to view and edit properties for.
Click the ‘Document Properties’ icon.
The document information panel will open where you view all properties. To edit the properties, click the ‘Edit’ button.
Not all properties are available to edit on the document, it is dependent on the context of the record that has been setup by your organisation. Properties that cannot be edited will be grey.
Once you have completed changes to the document properties, click the ‘Save’ button.
