How to Delete a document
In this article, users will learn the steps required for deleting a document stored with Filer. Deleting files from records is used if the document is no longer relevant to the record or has been mistakenly uploaded to the incorrect record.

Deleting a document with Filer
- Navigate to the SharePoint site where Filer is installed at your organisation.
- Search for the record you are looking for using search, bookmarks, views or briefcases.
- From the list of files in a particular record, select the file or files that you need to delete.
- Select the ‘delete’ icon.
- A pop-up confirmation box will appear, stating the number of documents that have been selected for deletion and whether the user is certain to proceed with deleting the file from the record. If the user is certain, click the ‘Ok’ button.
