Within this article we will cover how you can merge the records of one entity together with another entity.
1.1.1 Merging records
- Navigate to the Filer admin centre then select ‘Configuration’ from the left-hand menu.
- You will then see a pop up and from here select the configuration that you want to manage.
- You will notice the interface will change now to show the configuration that you are currently managing in the top right-hand corner of the page.
- From here select ‘Record Management’ from the side menu
- You will then be presented with a screen like the following for the first two fields here you should enter the primary identifier of the relevant entities and press ‘Search’ to validate the record exists if it does you should be shown this with a confirmation message below the field. You can then optionally add some comments to explain for auditing purposes why these needed to be merged, finally once you are happy you can select ‘Merge Records’ and this will merge them, and the ‘Merge from Entity’ will become inactive.
