Create the Power Automate Flow

First, we need to create a Power Automate Flow and make it available to all users via the Trigr app.

1. Navigate to https://make.powerautomate.com

2. Click 'New flow > Automated cloud flow'

3. Configure the new Flow form as follows:

3.a. Flow name: Enter a name for your Flow

3.b. Choose your Flow's trigger: Select the Encodian 'When a user runs a Trigr' Power Automate trigger action.

3.c. Click 'Create'

NOTE: If you have not already created an Encodian connection, you will be prompted for an API Key; please enter your API Key, which can be found: https://account.encodian.com/trigr/apikey

4. Complete the fields on the Encodian 'When a user runs a Trigr' Power Automate trigger action.

4.a. Title: The value entered will later identify this Flow within the Encodian admin portal

5. Configure your Power Automate Flow to perform the required actions.

6. Now that your Flow is created, proceed to configure your Trigr action within the Encodian account portal.

 

Add the 'Trigr Action' to the Filer configuration

  1. Navigate to the Filer configuration you want to add this action to and select ‘Trigr Actions’.
  1. Select ‘Create’
  1. From this dialog box firstly select the Power Automate Flow to associate with this Trigr action, you can select the date range at the top to filter the list by the date on which the flow was created.
  1. After you have selected a Flow scroll down and complete the other form fields and select the ‘Save’ button once completed.
    • Title: This will auto-populate from the data set within the Power Automate Flow, update if required.
    • Description: This will auto-populate from the data set within the Power Automate Flow, update if required.
    • Run Message: Enter a message to display to the user once the action starts.
  1. Once saved it will appear as shown below

Run the 'Trigr Action'

  1. Within the webpart for the relevant Filer configuration, search for the document(s) you want to run the action against, and then select these and select the icon outlined in the screenshot.
  1. This will bring up the following dialog and from here you  can select the ‘Start’ button against the desired Trigr action to run it.
  1. Once the action has been started, you will get a success screen that will show a run message if you defined one during setup
